A more accessible and inclusive Columbus campus experience is now available in the palm of your hand. The Ohio State app recently added locations for accessible entrances, wellness rooms, sanctuary spaces and updated information on lactation rooms and gender inclusive restrooms available across campus.
The update includes locations, photos and details for more than 300 accessible entrances, and access control information and amenities available at 160 wellness-related spaces.
Collaboration from the Office of Institutional Equity (OIE), the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI), and Facilities Information and Technology Services (FITS) led to the important app improvements.
OIE worked alongside OTDI’s app development team to scope the project and develop a plan, sharing data on accessibility from both the university database and site information from Buckeyes for Accessibility (B4A).
