Students, employees required to take sexual misconduct prevention training

Every year, Ohio State requires students and employees to complete online training designed to help them recognize, prevent and report sexual misconduct and to educate them about resources to help those who might have experienced sexual misconduct. All students and employees were notified by email of this requirement in early September 2023.

Students, including graduate and professional students, have been assigned the student-focused U Got This! course in their BuckeyeLearn transcript; employees have been assigned the Report=Support! course. Returning students and employees have the opportunity to take refresher courses. Anyone who is both a student and an employee at Ohio State has been assigned both courses.

Merit-eligible employees who do not complete Report=Support! by April 26, 2024, will not be eligible for annual merit increases that take effect September 2024. Student employees, graduate associates and other employees who are not classified as merit-eligible may be subject to unit-specific consequences for non-completion. Bargaining unit employees should follow their applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Students and employees can access their training by logging in to buckeyelearn.osu.edu with their Ohio State credentials. From there, they should select the “My Transcript” button on the BuckeyeLearn homepage and click the “Launch” button to begin.

Once a course is completed, it will move to the completed transcript in BuckeyeLearn, which can be viewed by changing the “Active” button on the top of the transcript to “Completed.” Students should allow 24-48 hours for this item to be removed from your BuckeyeLink “To Do” list.

As a reminder, if an employee is unable to complete the training for any reason (for example, if the content brings up past trauma), they can exit the course and visit the Institutional Equity webpage for instructions on requesting an alternative. All such requests must be made prior to the deadline for completion.
