  • Students, employees required to take sexual misconduct prevention training

    Every year Ohio State requires students and employees to complete online training designed to help them recognize, prevent and report sexual misconduct, and to educate them about resources to help those who might have experienced sexual misconduct. 

    All students and employees were notified by email of this requirement in early October 2021.

  • Institutional Equity leadership announcement

    It gives me great pleasure to announce that Keesha Mitchell, JD, has been named associate vice president of the Office of Institutional Equity. She has served as interim leader of OIE since November 2020, when she came to Ohio State from the Ohio Attorney General's Office. She was selected for the ongoing role after a national search.

  • Title IX Coordinator Selected

    I am pleased to share that Melissa E. Mayhan, J.D., has joined the Office of Institutional Equity as our deputy associate vice president and Title IX coordinator. In this role, she will oversee the university’s compliance with laws prohibiting sex-based discrimination, as provided by the Title IX section of the federal Education Amendments of 1972.

If you need help, we can offer assistance or guidance around supportive measures (including academic accommodations/deadline extensions, no contact directives, housing modifications, counseling support).
